• Profession: Since 2007, Helwig Hauser is professor at the University of Bergen, Norway, and leading a research group on visualization there.
• Before it Helwig Hauser was scientific director of the VRVis Research Center in Vienna, Austria.
• Before that, he was the leader of the basic research group ''interactive visualization''.
• Previously, together with Eduard Gröller and Rainer Wegenkittl, he worked on advanced visualization techniques in the field of analytically specified non-linear dynamical systems.
• Teaching: Visualisierung (lecture and lab), Informationsvisualisierung (lecture and lab), Computer Science Project 1 & 2, Diploma Thesis.
• Coordinator of Helwig's Conference Calendar, which is also officially used by Eurographics Association.
