The visualization group at TU Wien has an open position for a working student (Werkstudent). This position will be financed by the Smile Analytics project, aiming at improving the digital fabrication of dental prosthetic devices. The candidate will be working with a team consisting of academic researchers and industrial partners. The candidate should investigate aesthetic aspects of “smiling” and should derive suitable visualization techniques for previewing dental treatment outcomes at an early stage.

Adam Celarek und Christoph Weinzierl-Heigl, beide von der TU Wien, erhalten für ihre Masterarbeiten den OCG-Förderpreis 2018, der mit je 1.500 Euro dotiert ist.

Wien (OTS) - Univ.-Prof. Gabriele Anderst-Kotsis, Leiterin des Instituts für Telekooperation der Uni Linz und Jury Vorsitzende, übergab Adam Celarek bei der EU ICT 2018 und IMAGINE Konferenz des BMVIT im Austria Center den OCG Förderpreis. Der erkrankte Christoph Weinzierl-Heigl wird seinen Preis beim OCG Jahresopening Ende Jänner erhalten.

Die Jury des OCG-Förderpreises 2018 hat die Diplomarbeit von CHRISTOPH WEINZIERL-HEIGL mit dem Titel „ADAPTIVELY CLUSTERED REFLECTIVE SHADOW MAPS" und die Diplomarbeit von ADAM CELAREK  „QUANTIFYING THE CONVERGENCE OF LIGHT-TRANSPORT ALGORITHMS" als die preiswürdigsten Arbeiten für den OCG-Förderpreis 2018 ausgewählt. Beide Diplomarbeiten wurden von PROF. MICHAEL WIMMER betreut.
