The seminar "Computer Game Technology" gives you the chance to delve deeply into the secrets and mysteries of modern computer games. With the knowledge you will acquire with your co-participants, you will see computer games in a new light.
Have you ever wondered...
then this seminar is for you! After settling on a specific topic, your supervisor will start you off with some pointers to literature, web-sites and the like. You will deepen your study of the chosen topic using our extensive library, the world wide web and other sources. After writing up your findings in a short paper, you will give a talk presenting your results to the other participants. One of the primary goals of the seminar is to learn how to make a good presentation overviewing the literature of a given topic and how to create appropriate slides for the talk.You will also learn how to research literature and how to write a scientific paper.
Preliminaries: Computer Graphics course, proseminar and interest in computer graphics and computer games advisable.
The paper to be prepared should be 7-10 pages in length and should have the structure of a research paper (Abstract, Introduction, ..., Conclusions, References). The talk should be 20 minutes in length followed by 10 minutes of discussion. Paper and talk together can be either in German or English.
