General Information

The Closed Meeting 2014 will take place near Ottenstein, which is located in Waldviertel in Lower Austria. Our accommodation will be at Jugendgästehaus Ottenstein, Peygarten Ottenstein 60, 3532 Rastenfeld. The distance from Vienna to Ottenstein is about 118km; that is about 1hour 20 minutes drive by car.

Social Event: Our social event will take place on Friday, 4 July 2014, afternoon. We are going to visit the Zwettler Beer Brewery, which is located at Zwettl. The guided tour will take about 2 hours. Please find below short information regarding our guided tour, especially for the non German speaker:

Zwettler Beer Brewery Guided Tour at Zwettl.
The program:

• Welcome greetings.
• Multimedia presentation of the private brewery Zwettl.
• Introduction to the wonderful world of brewing beer which established since 1890.
• The presentation of Zwettler Beer through Zwettlerstrasse beer with image of the natural hops, water and barley for the malt.
• Information on the contemporary brewing.
• Tour the process of the barrel and cylinder filling.
• Information on the history of brewing in Zwettl and Brewer Family Karl Schwarz, who helped shape the Waldviertel beer culture significantly for five generations.
• Dialogue with the beer robot Blacky (if he is not very busy) and information on the function and performance of the filling equipment .
• Tasting of Zwettlerstrasse beer in Zwickl exchange.

After the guided tour, everyone is offer:

• 2 glasses Zwettlerstrasse (0.33) and a bread (Zwettlerstrasse Braumalzweckerl)in Zwickl room.
