ART - the Advanced Rendering Toolkit - is a collection of Objective-C libraries that are intended to provide a wide range of core functionality suitable for graphics application programming and research.
The ART libraries do not deal with the user interface of graphics applications - they are intended to provide the content for the engine behind such programs. ART provides classes and methods starting from primitive graphics objects like vectors, points and matrices up to classes that make it possible to define complete three dimensional scenes, along with a number of different methods to manipulate and render these scenes.
The ART libraries are in the public domain under the GNU Library General Public License. However, they will not publicly available until a certain degree of completeness with respect to functionality has been achieved. This will probably be the case during the last quarter of 2000. For further explanations concerning the state of the project, its motivations and background see our list of frequently asked questions.
