Visualizing Complexity Science Workshop is for people who are inspired by the challenge to visualizing scientific research, are willing to think outside the boundaries of their own areas of expertise, and enthusiastic to collaborate with others. We invite applications from:
- Scientists engaged in complexity science research
- Developers engaged in coding and analyzing data
- Designers engaged in creating qualitative or quantitative visualizations
- Journalists engaged in data storytelling for a large audience
- Artists engaged with data in artistic creation in any media
Participants will
- learn communication and visualization strategies for data-driven scientific findings,
- form teams to develop a complex science visualization project, working together with Complexity Science researchers and other designers,
- gain inspiration and experience through exchange with their peers,
- engage with an international group of data visualization guest speakers.
The registration details and application form are available on the Visualizing Complexity Science Workshop 2026 website. The application process will close on March 30.
This will be the fourth iteration of the workshop. We look forward to welcoming a new group of talented people from around the world. If you or your colleagues have any questions about the program, or who should apply, feel free to contact either of us via email.
