After a successful Global Game Jam organized by TU Wien Informatics in January with over 80 participants and 19 submissions, we are already back again with yet another Game Jam! This time, we are cooperating with SUBOTRON, Games for Change, and Belvedere. The game jam is part of a larger Game Jam Series with multiple events at Austrian universities.

Date: 27. - 29.03.2026 (Kick-off 27th 4pm)
Location: Seminarraum FAV 05, Favoritenstraße 9, 1040 Wien
Registration: https://forms.gle/5rrh1th17qhEJdUV8
Discord: https://discord.gg/Zf29GqsRY3

During the jam, participants can work on the three G4C student challenge topics on environmental protection and traffic safety (Deadline 30.3.), or the PLAYING ART topic from Belvedere (Deadline 03.07.). Both can be further worked on privately or at any of the other jams in the series (or you can continue to work on projects started at previous events of the game jam series) and submitted by their respective deadlines.

For more information, please join the TU Wien Game Jams Discord Server linked above.

We are looking forward to seeing many new and familiar faces!

PLAYING ART (Belvedere, Deadline 03.07.2026):

No restrictions on age, team size and game engine.

The Austrian Gallery Belvedere offers Austria’s artistic heritage as a creative inspiration for your games. Through its Open Content program, extensive data—images, metadata, provenance information, and descriptions—are available via an API under CC0 or CC BY licenses. These resources can be used for game assets, level design, and storytelling, exploring artworks and art movements from the Middle Ages to the present.

All submitted games are published on the itch.io pages of SUBOTRON and Belvedere, and automatically participate in the Austrian Impact Game Idea 2026 Competition. Additionally, all submitted games are presented and exhibited at the FROG - Future and Reality of Gaming Conference (20. - 22.11.26) at Belvedere 21.
