This year's Main Social Event is not included in the conference fee, the price is 60 EUR and includes a full dinner. If you have not pre-registered for this ball, there might be some tickets left, which you can buy at the registration on a first-come first-serve basis.

For this main social event you have to obey a minimum dress code.
- For men this means:

- Minimum: long dark trousers (but no blue jeans), white (or very light) shirt (with buttons, no t-shirt), closed leather shoes (no sneakers or sandals)
- Very good: long black trousers, white long-armed shirt with tie or bow tie, closed dark leather shoes, dark jacket
- Optimal: tuxedo with white shirt and bow tie, black leather shoes.
- For ladies this means:
