PolicyMap: A Dynamic Map for Line-Up Policy in Amusement Parks
Spending time lining up in front of attractions in an amusement park drastically reduces fun in the park. In this project, we aim to investigate the line-up policy in Tokyo Disney Land and visualize it using a dynamic map. This is because Tokyo Disney Land has been considered as the most complex dynamic system and one should maximize the value of each visit.
Several factors such as attraction wait times, FASTPASS ticketing status, scheduled start times for entertainment, and walking speeds could be considered for the policy as well as the elements for visualization.
This project aims to provide a dynamic to support line-up policy in an amusement park. The student needs to investigate what are significant factors for decision-making algorithm, scheduling algorithm, and visualization. The system is expected to be developed as a web-based application.
- Knowledge of English language (source code comments and final report should be in English)
- Knowledge of C++ and Qt is advantageous
- Knowledge of Boost Graph Library is advantageous
- Commitment to collaborate with international researchers
The project should be implemented as a web-based application or a smartphone app.
