In Volume Rendering, one of the most important topics is the definition of Transfer Functions (TFs). TFs link data information to visual properties that reveal relevant information to the user and enable interactive data exploration. In this project, the current state of the art in Transfer Functions should be evaluated in respect to their feasibility for visualization of challenging imaging data like 3D ultrasound. The project is conducted together with Dr. Katja Bühler from the VRVis Research Center. Upon successful completion of the project, there is potential of remuneration.
