Description

Datacomics has been demonstrated as an effective visualization that facilitates data storytelling strategy [1]. The datacomics, nevertheless, is created manually. This project aims to develop an approach to synthesize datacomics automatically.

Tasks

The student is expected to implement a web-based application that automatically synthesizes datacomics from the input. This could involve automatic story creation and comics generation.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of web-based APIs
  • Knowledge of Python and SNAP (https://snap.stanford.edu/snappy) is advantageous, but not necessary
  • Good programming skills
  • Creativity and enthusiasm
  • Knowledge of English language (source code comments and the final report should be in English)

Environment

The project should be implemented as a web-based application.
