Description
The main goal of this practicum topic is to record numerous 3D motions with tennis professionals. A professional recording system Simi Motion will be used to record high-quality 3D motions of tennis players. The players will perform motions with a focus on mistakes and correct performance of specific tennis rules. After the recording with a multi-view Simi setup, the 3D data will be developed by professional Simi software. The recording will be done in collaboration with our partner company VR Motion Learning GmbH & Co KG and the recorded data will be used in our research project Virtual Reality Tennis Trainer.
Tasks
- Record numerous 3D motions of professional tennis players
- Organize the dataset in a sensible way
- Extract 3D motions from a multi-view recording setup in a professional Simi software
Requirements
- Knowledge of the English language
- Knowledge of 3D motion recording and processing is advantageous, but not necessary
