Abstract:
This presentation extends the insights into the research activities of the Vision and Graphics Group from a User Experience Design perspective. We have established the HAX (Human-AI Experience) division within our research team, making an interconnection between the AI applications and the domain experts as application end-users, mainly within the medical applications (medical imaging, medical education and research applications). We focus on establishing methodologies, heuristics and Human-AI Experience prototyping & evaluation methods for AI application design in the medical domain based on numerous case studies involving various medical workplaces across the region. We aim to provide insight into our recent findings and case studies, starting from the data annotation process for AI applications and ending with ready-to-implement user interfaces with AI integration.
Bio:
Ing. Miroslav Laco, PhD. is a young researcher with a research focus on human computer interaction, human interaction with artificial intelligence, user experience and user behavioral analysis. His research work is focused mainly on the applications and computer interfaces in the medical domain, namely digital histology and pathology, radiodiagnostics, and education in the field of digital histopathology. Currently, Ing. Miroslav Laco, PhD. actively collaborates on the ongoing research of developing methodologies and interfaces for data annotations and integration of artificial intelligence for quantitative analysis in histology, as well as developing methodologies and interfaces for data annotations for a novel educational platform dedicated to digital histopathology.
