For the course Visualisierung 2, we implemented the paper:


„Depth of Field Effects for Interactive Direct Volume Rendering, Mathias Schott, A. V. Pascal Grosset, Tobias Martin, Vincent Pegoraro, Sean T. Smith, Charles D. Hansen“


The paper discribes a method for interactive direct volume using depth of field effects. The technique is based on incremental filtering. Furthermore it does not depend on any precomputation, which makes interactive exploring of the volume possible. [1]
