iFlow Overview
iFlow is a flow visualisation application that lets you easily
view your flow data as industry-standard arrow-plot or as
streamline visualisation, inspect flow field, pressure and
vorticity values, interactively create seedpoints, and
more. Here are some of the key things you can do using iFlow:
- Display flow data as arrow ("hedgehog") plot. Modify arrow
length and color coding to indicate strength of the flow field,
pressure, or vorticity.
- Display flow data as streamline plot. Both Euler integration
and second-order Runge-Kutta integration are supported.
- Interactively choose starting points for new
seedlines. Using this mode, you yourself can choose what areas of
the flow data are the most interesting, and adjust the
streamline density at will.
- Use an automatic algorithm to determine an evenly spaced
streamline layout across the whole dataset.
- Export rendered images in PDF format. Both arrowplot and
streamline images can be conveniently saved to file, and later
be reused in other applications.
