Introduction

Within the scope of the VU Informationsvisualiesierung at the ICGA we implemented a tool for visualizing ordered treemaps. The algorithms we use in our application base on the paper "Ordered Treemap Layouts" by Ben Shneiderman and Martin Wattenberg.

The Task was ...

1) ... to render treemaps

2) ... compare the layouts

3) ... to add some interaction

4) ... to see what happens if data change

5) ... to achieve significant images

Below you can see some sample images genrated by our application. Due to demonstration issues we have tried to vary the parameters as much as possible.
