This year, 38 submissions were carefully evaluated by 29 program committee members and several additional expert reviewers, all of whom are listed on a subsequent page. To ensure a high scientific standard only the best 23 papers could be accepted and are included in this book. Their average quality is very high and some of the included contributions will certainly influence the scientific progress of the field. The book also contains three invited contributions by Nadia Magnenat Thalmann, Wolfgang Strasser and Franz Leberl.
The papers cover a broad field from curve and surface design to realistic rendering, from basic CG algorithms to standards, from animation to interface design problems.
I want to thank all the reviewers involved for their excellent work, without which the high standard of this conference could not be maintained. But I also want to thank the organisers Martin Sperka, Andrej Ferko, and Ludovit Niepel for their everlasting efforts to ensure a continuous event, to find sponsors, and to keep the prices low.
