... that's me (in
Newcastle/GB).
My name is Lukas Schlosser. I have been studying Informatics
(respectively Computing Science) at the Vienna
University of Technology since autumn 1991. During summer term 1996
I took part in an ERASMUS exchange
program, which offered me the possibility to study at the University
of Newcastle upon Tyne, situated in the north-east of England. It was
a wonderful experience!
In September 1997 I finished my
diploma thesis at the Institute
of Electronics - Rehabilitation Technology Unit. My task was to prepare
a system for the simulation of automatic subtitle generation for persons
with hearing loss. And in October 1997 I finally managed to finish my studies here at the Technical University of Vienna.
My "second home" was the Institute
of Computer Graphics, where I have developed a 3D-stereographic image
generator for "red-green glasses" and a raytracer for the BaBeL
graphics library. During winter term 1996/1997 I also worked as a tutor
for the Lab
Algorithms and Datastructures II.
After finishing my studies I started to work for
SIEMENS PSE (Program and System Engineering)
in the area of mobile telecommunication (GPRS, UMTS).
