Research
I am currently working on interactive-time physically-based animation,
applied to virtual reality environments. Interactivity is a major issue
in this domain since virtual reality environments prohibit the use of
off-line computations.
I also work on distributed animation within the European PAVR project.
During my PhD I designed an articulated solid simulator for computer
animation, Tabule. Its main feature is the
ability of efficiently trading-off physical accuracy for computation
time. It handles articulated solids as well as collision and contacts.
