Pixar's Log Format

Pixar recognized the need for a raw image file format in film recording. They developed a log encoding for RGB values, such that they need 33 bits per pixel. The code is implemented as part of Sam Leffler's TIFF Library [RADI97], and it is freely available electronically. The code covers about 3.5 orders of magnitude (which is sufficient for films), with tex2html_wrap_inline6087 relative accuracy.
