Abstract

The reader is introduced to the field of interactive three-dimensional graphics. In order to convincingly display a virtual world to a user, hardware-accelerated rendering is not enough. More demanding applications require sophisticated graphics techniques, e.g. level of detail rendering and visibility culling. This report gives an overview of the state of the art in this area.
