Medical Patient Database

Description
Lots of data is generated in medical applications due to processing of many patients. This data stems either from a acquisition sources such as Computed Tomography Angiography or is manually done by radiological assistants. Due to an increasing number of patients per day, the data to handle and manage is getting larger. This needs to be handled more efficient in order to not delay processing time in the case of an acute case. Elaborate technologies, such as SQL, should be used to organize the vast amount of patients and their data.
Tasks
Your task is to implement a patient database using SQL and visualize patient related information using common InfoVis approaches (for example, a timeline of patients per month, patient processing time, and so on). You will work within a software environment that is used in the daily clinical routine of two hospitals and collaborate with medical doctors. Although you will work along a defined way, we encourage you to contribute even with your own ideas
Requirements
- Basic knowledge in computer graphics and visualization
- Programming in C++
- Knowledge in SQL might be advantageous
- Knowledge of cmake and Qt is advantageous
Environment
